Local Filmmaker Interviews Montana Domestic Violence Survivors

A friend of ours, Maaike Middleton, is creating a movie about survivors of domestic violence in Montana. She’s interviewed many women and the work is still in progress.

“Happily After will focus on life after leaving an abusive relationship: beginning a new life, finding a new home, a job, overcoming old fears, and learning how to trust again. This film will focus on the healing.

In Happily After, we will meet women and hear how the abuse impacted their lives. We will learn what each of these women did to heal, realize the struggle and the self-belief it required to leave it all behind.”

Please check out the film’s website and trailer. We’re glad that these brave women are able to give a face to this very private and also very horrifying issue. http://www.happilyafterfilm.com/Happily_After.html

HAVEN is excited about partnering on this project and looks forward to a Bozeman showing of the final product.
