Project X Squared Raises Money and Awareness at Bozeman High School

Project X Squared, a student group of passionate young women at Bozeman High School, have been supporting HAVEN for the past few months. The girls started the group this year because they were sick and tired of seeing a lack of respect in dating relationships and the ways that girls were treating eachother  at school.  In the Summer, the group came to the shelter to volunteer their time.

In October, they took it one step farther. The young women sold hundreds of homemade cookies, purple bracelets and purple ribbons to thier classmates to raise money and awareness for Domestic Violence Awareness Month.  On Thursday November 11, Project X Squared presented HAVEN with a check for $745.00 and about $100 worth of cell phone donations.  We are impressed with these girl’s hard work and compassion for others.  Their service should be recognized throughout this community.  Stay tuned to hear what they do next!
