Haven receives two-year RedRover grant to help welcome survivors, pets to new shelter

We’re excited to report that we’ve received a two-year, $60,000 grant to support the pet program at our new shelter! 

Haven is opening our new pet-friendly shelter in 2023, and this grant from RedRover means that we can:

• Buy pet food and supplies

• Cover routine and emergency veterinary care for survivors’ pets when they move into the shelter

• Complete the new shelter’s outdoor pet area, creating a space for survivors and pets to enjoy together

We’re grateful to receive this Safe Housing grant from RedRover, which helps animals in crisis and strengthens the bonds between people and animals. Thank you, RedRover, for helping us welcome both survivors and their pets for the first time in our 40-year history!

And thank you to our partners at Heart of the Valley and Cottonwood Veterinary Hospital, who’ve agreed to work with us as we open our new shelter to survivors and their pets.
