We’re here for you. We’re here for each other.
Community education
A truly thriving community is only possible when everyone can live free from abuse. Haven works to raise awareness of crisis support and prevention programs, to educate friends and family in how to help, and most importantly, to elevate the voices and experiences of survivors.
Community education
Haven does violence-prevention work in the community as part of our holistic view of intimate-partner violence, sexual assault, sex trafficking, and stalking. The work our prevention coordinator does in Gallatin County is aimed at preventing violence before it starts, by providing education on the dynamics of domestic and intimate-partner violence, unhealthy relationships, and healthy relationships. Email us today to request your made-to-order presentation for your group or business. We’re looking forward to stopping the cycle of violence with you and your friends or colleagues.
The 20 or so high school students on the Peer Education team – co-facilitated by Haven and Bridgercare – are able to offer their peers information about healthy relationships and medically accurate information about sexual/reproductive health, as well as referrals to services. The group meets weekly throughout the school year. Read more about Peer Ed here, and click here to apply.

End The Silence program
Domestic violence has a long history of being seen as a private family matter, rather than the public-health epidemic we know it is today. End the Silence, Haven’s survivor speakers’ bureau, shines a light on the darkness surrounding these forms of abuse. To educate the community, this group of survivors presents their own experiences to the public through the first-person narrative. These talented survivors are actively breaking the stigma, and mobilizing our community to end domestic violence, sex trafficking, and stalking. Read more about the 2025 End the Silence program here, and if you are interested in being part of the next (10-week to 12-week) cohort, please email Haven’s prevention coordinator at prevention@havenmt.org.
Teen dating violence prevention
Haven has developed partnerships with Youth Dynamics, Inc. and HRDC’s Blueprint program to educate Gallatin Valley’s youth about domestic violence, sex trafficking, stalking, and healthy/unhealthy relationships. This partnership has allowed us to offer both advocacy and education to teen survivors of dating violence and support to those who grew up in abusive homes. If we hope to end violence in the future, we must empower teens through education and help them end the lifetime cycle of abuse.
If you would like to schedule a presentation for your group, please email Haven’s prevention coordinator, or fill out this form. We’ll get back to you within two business days.
