Gallatin College, Accelerate Montana, Haven team up for job site training

Haven is partnering with Gallatin College and Accelerate Montana to help connect Haven participants and volunteers with Job Site Ready, a hands-on construction training coming to Bozeman June 17-18.

Participants in the training will learn tool use, job site safety, and basic construction skills while building a shed for Haven.

This partnership is about helping people build confidence, independence, and practical skills they can carry into everyday life, future careers, and their own homes. For many people, especially those rebuilding after difficult circumstances, gaining hands-on experience with tools, repairs, and construction can be deeply empowering. Learning how to confidently tackle projects on their own can help reduce barriers, create new opportunities, and foster a stronger sense of self-reliance and possibility for the future.

Haven is helping spread the word to our participants, volunteers, and our wider community, with a focus on connecting interested participants to scholarships.

Scholarships are available.

Haven’s support and services are open to people of all genders, and so is this training. We’re pleased to partner with these organizations and to spread the word to Haven participants about the scholarship opportunities. And we’re grateful these partners thought of us for this shed-building project for our campus!
