Legal advocates move to Public Safety Center

Haven legal advocates are moving to Bozeman’s Public Safety Center, and for people accessing our legal-advocacy services, our new location means that a few things have changed.

LOCATION:

Advocates are at the Bozeman Public Safety Center, at 901 N. Rouse Ave., in Bozeman.

FINDING HAVEN’s OFFICE: This video below shows how you can find our office in the building.

GETTING THERE:

Streamline’s Brownline stops at the Public Safety Center (see red circle on the map below). You can find maps, schedules, and trip planners for the free Streamline bus service on their website.

If you’ve got a car or a ride, you can access the parking lot from either Rouse or Tamarack.

You can also call the support line or the legal advocacy line to check in about or brainstorm other transportation options.

FILING:

 - Some of the things you may need to file can be done at Municipal Court in the Public Safety Center.

 - If you need to file a parenting plan or a dissolution at District Court, or a petition for a temporary order of protection at District Court and/or Justice Court for example, you now have to go across town to the Law and Justice Center (615 S. 16th Ave., Bozeman).

Support and other options may be available – talk with your legal advocate.

About one-third of the people Haven serves access our legal advocacy services. This means Haven advocates support survivors by:

 - walking a survivor through filing an order of protection

 - preparing a survivor for the court hearing where a judge decides whether to issue the order of protection

 - joining a survivor in court during their hearing
