Local partners release podcast, article for #DVAM

A podcast that helps demystify the available services for survivors and an article that shines a light on domestic violence in Gallatin Valley were two of the ways we and our partners spread the word during Domestic Violence Awareness Month 2022.

Podcast host (and Gallatin County communications coordinator) Whitney Bermes recording the We Are HER podcast with Ashlee Heavrin, Threat Assessment Detective at Montana State University Police.

The podcast: Our friends at We Are HER teamed up with Gallatin County’s Domestic Violence Response Team to make a podcast about how survivors can access survivor services. The episode involves a 911 dispatcher, a Haven legal advocate, and a law enforcement officer.

The article: Gallatin County highlighted the work of the Domestic Violence Response Team — the group of advocates, law enforcement, attorneys, and more that’s been working together on this issue since 2012 — in an article on their website, which they also distributed to local media.
