Friends and Family Support Group: New day and time
Are you helping a friend or family member who doesn't feel safe in their relationship? If you’re 18 or older, Haven is offering an online support group at a new time and date, to support you while you’re experiencing the indirect impacts of abuse.
Haven’s Friends and Family Support Group is re-launching Feb. 15. You can join and/or get details by calling our support line at 406-586-4111.
Most survivors reach out to someone close to them before they get in touch with us – it makes sense for us to connect with and empower those friends and family with the tools they need to thrive as well. This group is an essential part of the community engagement, connection and empowerment that Haven’s work is rooted in.
If a loved one of yours is a survivor of domestic abuse, intimate partner violence, assault, or stalking, you’re what’s called a secondary survivor. Secondary survivors can feel anger, guilt, and hopelessness, but often feel like they need to take on these feelings alone. The ability to be strong and help your loved one survive and thrive can have a significant impact on your own mental health, and Haven is here to support! Haven’s Friends and Family Support Group is intended to provide information, support, and a safe space for adults of all identities to process their experience and feelings of being a secondary survivor.
All of Haven's support group services are gender inclusive.
If you or someone you know could benefit from this support group, please call our support line today at 406-586-4111.
