Last quarter service trends: Haven serves record number of survivors for the second time this year
Haven served more survivors last quarter than ever before, according to our service numbers.
This new high – of 469 survivors served – exceeds a record-setting quarter we saw earlier this calendar year, and is a function of Haven’s increased capacity to serve survivors since opening The Barnard Center.
Another new record last quarter was the number of survivors accessing legal advocacy.
What’s legal advocacy? Haven legal advocates support survivors of domestic violence, sex trafficking, sexual assault, and stalking as they navigate the court system. Legal advocates aren’t lawyers, but they can explain general court procedures and paperwork and offer support at what can be a confusing and difficult time. More information on legal advocacy is here.
Many thanks to this community for standing with survivors and for making our work possible.
