Walls up at the new shelter!

Haven staff and board toured Haven’s future home on Wednesday, to get a closer look at what we were calling “the advocacy command center” yesterday: the community room, library, staff offices, and private phone booths for advocates answering the support line.

What you can see here: Everyone’s bundled up and a few people have warm drinks, as it was about 2 degrees Fahrenheit in the heat of the day Wednesday. Thank you, Martel and work crews, for all of your work on this project during the Montana winter!

Up next: Walls should be up soon on the residential building that will eventually have space for four times as many survivors as we currently serve in shelter.

We’re enormously grateful to this community for standing with survivors. Thank you to everyone who’s made our expansion possible.
