Individual Therapy

Haven counselors provides individual therapy sessions to participants. Our participants may request sessions by calling the support line and speaking with an advocate. One on one sessions address issues regarding self-esteem, understanding needs, recognizing feelings, learning effective ways to communicate with others, healing from abuse and personal growth. Individual therapy is a participant driven process where participants set personal goals they would like to achieve during individual sessions.

Adult Support Groups

Our adult support groups meet weekly for an hour and a half. There are currently support groups that meet in Bozeman. These sessions are open to adults staying in the shelter, adults in the community and to adults at all stages in the healing process. During these sessions, a trained facilitator leads discussion about current or past abuse. Members of the group are encouraged to share their experiences and relate with the experiences of their peers. All of Haven's support group services are gender-inclusive. To attend support group, call (406) 586-4111 for more information.

Bozeman: Mondays 6:00-7:30pm

I attend Monday night group. I can share my feelings in a safe environment and listen to others stories of women like me and know I’m not alone or crazy and so on. It’s a form of support I haven’t found anywhere else. I may go there feeling down, or drained, but always seem to come out feeling renewed and it supports me and gives me the strength I need to make wise choices for myself in the week to come..
