March 28: End the Silence event in Bozeman
Join us as we and a cohort of survivors bring End the Silence – Haven’s domestic violence survivor speakers’ bureau — to Bozeman on March 28.
Survivors will be sharing their stories at the Emerson on Friday, March 28, with a question-and-answer session to follow. The event is free. We’re offering a limited number of tickets to the public — RSVP using the link below by noon on March 27.
Haven started End the Silence in 2015-16, after hearing from survivors who wanted to tell their stories safely and publicly. The program aims to:
Reduce the stigma around domestic violence, a public-health epidemic that for many years was treated as a private family matter
Educate the community by putting real people and their first-person narratives in front of the statistics (one in seven people nationwide, or 20,000 people in Gallatin County alone, face intimate-partner violence)
Mobilize our community to end domestic violence, sex trafficking, and stalking
We hope to see you on March 28. The RSVP link is below to register for this event by noon on March 27.
