Find calm: Mindfulness sessions at Haven
If the holidays are leaving you feeling overwhelmed and looking for some peace and quiet, we have just the series for you in January. Join us and Lisa Joslyn from Montana Mindfulness Project for four sessions of mindfulness and gentle stretching at Haven in the new year.
These 90-minute mindfulness sessions will take place at 7:00 pm each Thursday in January (Jan. 4, 11, 18, and 25) in Haven’s Connection Room. Designed with everyone in mind regardless of level, the small-group classes will incorporate 45 minutes of yin yoga (slow stretching, trauma-informed yoga), followed by 45 minutes of mindfulness.
“Giving yourself the gift of your own attention is priceless, yet so often not prioritized,” Joslyn said. “Our mental bandwidth goes to problem-solving, to-do’s, and others’ needs. How might you feel if you got to nourish your mind, body, and heart in a supportive community?”
Feel free to bring a mat if you have one; Haven can also provide yoga mats. These sessions are open to all Haven residents, staff, and members of the public who are cleared by our operations team. Sign up by the Wednesday prior at 5 pm each week. We’re looking forward to welcoming you to the space!
