The animal kennels at Haven’s pet-friendly shelter are now sitting on solid ground, thanks to a concrete-pour project done by Gallatin College students earlier this year.

The project gave the students practical, hands-on experience, while benefiting shelter residents and their pets.

"This was a great opportunity for our students to engage in a project that will have a long term impact,” said Frank Harriman, the programs director for Gallatin College’s Building Trades programs. "I think it was important for our students to see they have skills, that when used, can make a positive difference in someone else's life."

We’re grateful to Gallatin College for their support, and look forward to more opportunities to work together. Thank you to everyone involved for making this project possible! And a big thank you to our wider community for standing with the survivors that Haven serves.
