Rooted in relationship: Haven launches new support group for friends, family of survivors
Are you helping a friend or family member who doesn't feel safe in their relationship? Now there's help for you to get support while you're experiencing the indirect impacts of abuse.
Haven’s friends-and-family support group - Rooted in Relationship – launches Feb. 15. You can join and/or get details by calling our support line at 406-586-4111.
Why now: In the past six months, we’ve heard from dozens and dozens of people who are trying to support a friend or family member who’s in an abusive relationship. Now, as Haven is expanding its capacity in the Gallatin Valley, we’re able to offer a weekly support group for friends and family of domestic-violence survivors.
How it fits in with Haven’s work: Most survivors reach out to someone close to them before they get in touch with us – it makes sense for us to connect with and empower those friends and family with the tools they need to thrive as well. This group is an essential part of the community engagement, connection and empowerment that Haven’s work is rooted in.
All of Haven's support group services are gender inclusive.
If you or someone you know could benefit from this new support group, or the primary support group, please call our support line today at 406-586-4111.
